Testimonies that God is good and His timing never fails.

  1. Talked things out with room mate, realized that actually we are both on the same page and in our opinion with someone. Made me feel that I'm not so alone after all. Too bad this has to happen when i'm gonna move out already, else we may have become great friends.
  2. On day 2 of birth control pills. Prayed over the pills and sanctify it with the blood of Jesus, and PRAISE GOD, I feel pretty good! No side effects! Need 3-4 months, according to the doc, to start on this b4 wedding day, for my body to react and accept the pills. So far so good!
  3. Tara's neighbour gave JM's a television bigger than my computer screen! My computer is pretty big.
  4. I have food at home (^_^)
  5. My fiance is pretty awesome. He just completed wedding website, got wedding registries done, settled wedding tuxes, organized and finished planning road trip with his family, planned out the wedding budget on excel sheet, designed the wedding cards, got both our rings, paid for my gown, made a list of things for me to do( cos i panic and freeze), and basically cook and clean for me every weekend cos i'm so stressed.
  6. Wedding list left: my shoes, decor to be thought of, print wedding cards and send them out, find hair stylist, gloves needed.. and plan road trip for my family (^_^)
  7. Finished my last Spanish session with my lovely tutor today, and she is still so gentle and kind after all that exasperating sessions with me. wahahaha...
  8. Almost done with pre-marital counselling. I think 5 outta 7 sessions done.
  9. My fiance, after quarreling with me, still loves me.
  10. Pris Ahn makes me quite nervous, but thank God she came up with solutions, let's see how things goes....

People from God

Today we had our usual ministry, The Unified, on Anderson University' campus. Every Thursday at 7.30pm, Tim & I will do it, whether rain or shine, snow or wind, 1 person or 20 people that turns up, or come what may, we hold the worship and prayer service weekly.

The difference is these few weeks, God has been moving. How does He move?
He sends like-minded Christians to our ministry, people from out of town, to drive all the way to our school, just to remind us that we have a purpose for pressing on, that God is gonna break out soon to pour out His glory and transform the campus.

Tonight was exceptional phenomenal. Not only worship was flowing with Joel Levi, Katya, Cameron and I, with Tim directing with scriptures, but a stranger came too.

Let me clarify that we are open to the public too, and we are used to the public attending our meetings weekly, but this man who introduced himself as Michael Warner, came to us and said," God told me to come here and give you guys words of encouragement, I have been looking all over the place for you guys, I even asked a professor where worship was held tonight." Wow... Talk about dedication for God, he came cos God told him to look for a bunch of strangers to encourage them...

He said he will speak to us after service cos we were about to start. And when we held the prayer time for different people, he spoke and prophesied reality into the hurting lives of people. He seem to be a discerning man of God. Then after we ended, he walked about with words for different people that He felt that God wanted them to know. I was one of them, and I was the last one he spoke to. I was anxiously waiting for what he had to say...

He told me, "God told me to come here tonight, to speak specifically to you. He told me to tell you that that you are loved by Him, He delights in you. You are surrounded by His glory for I see angels dancing around you. He sees your heart, humble and wanting to serve. God will come for a personal visitation to see you, be prepared for it."

That was a great encouragement, when I was just playing the piano just now & singing without the microphone due to lack of mikes, and I felt i was insignificant because I am not good at piano, I get stage fright, and I felt that I was not good in doing whatever I was doing for God...

He continued, "God also said, He will give you a hedge of protection for all the words that are out to hurt or harm you."

Perfect timing, I just finished whole load of confrontation with housemates and landlord whom I feel discriminated against since I'm the only non-American. Thank You Jesus for the hedge of protection, I feel safer now...

Michael continued and asked, "what are you doing after your studies here?"
I replied," I wanna be a counsellor."
And he said, "Do not doubt. God knows you love to minister to people, to love and give... But you do not minister to people who intimidates you or people who impresses you. But God is gonna take that fear away now, the fear of intimidation by people. And you will be ministering to ALL from now on."

I have been doubting recently, since J.M(my fiance) who was a Psychology major in AU too, recently changed his major in grad school from Counseling(which I'm gonna do) to Information Systems, which is something absolutely different. If J.M studied so hard for it for years, and has now changed due to the demandingness of the program with sucky professors, so perhaps this is not for me too?
Also, Michael mentioned that the 2 specific groups of people I do not minister to, is very true. (For those who don't know, ministering could be encouragements, acts of service, love... etc) For me, if you intimidate me, of course I stay away, it's my self defense mechanism. If u impress me cos you are way better in many things, of course you do not need my ministering... That's a good reminder, from now on, I will reach out to all, because I do not fear anymore, and reach out to those who seem more pro in many ways too. Way cool....

Michael mentioned too," This fall season will be a new season, we will be reaping the harvest and things will be changed."

I'm claiming for that, a new season, a breakthrough, and a new season in my life in terms of ministry, and I feel it is partially connected to my marriage around the time of fall, marrying a like-minded Christian who believes in the Holy spirit and how God moves radically. Things are beginning to work out and move ahead faster than I think....

Then Michael went ahead to tell me of my childhood. He said, "God sees your hurt, even when you are a little girl, and you are deeply hurt. He will bring you to greener pastures( For me, it means a better life: stable, safe and secure. )"

God ALREADY told me this! When I was a baby Christian at 16 years old, that He brings me to greener pastures, especially when I cry silently in the shower after every time I was beaten & abused for years... God reminded me time and again, He is there regardless of how I was treated, He was there when I wasn't a believer, and He is still here.

And now I'm in a different country, experiencing new stuff like different school education, friends of different nationalities, earning more $ as a student than what I did for a career back home and work being very relaxing compared to high tension any one back home, and marrying my best friend-J.M, who is a stable, intelligent, young man who believes in the same God I do and is sensible yet fun & sweet in many ways. Wedding in July 2010 in U.S.A, and did I mention that my fiance has nice parents too? What a trade off for me... Truly greener pastures... (^_^)

And Michael said this all that in the midst of my weeping due to overwhelming astonishment of how everything he said was spot on, and that I'm trying to absorb everything quickly cos he speaks really fast.
He continued on, "Surely Goodness and Mercy will follow you all the days of your life, and you will dwell in the House of The Lord forever..."
He said,"besides the many angels that are surrounding me & God's glory engulfing me, also Goodness and Mercy are like two angels who are following me!

I was shocked. He just mentioned my favorite verse of the bible, that I know and claim it by heart, even claiming it on my blog n Facebook! Wahahhaa... God sends such great reminders to me through His people! God is good. I'm insignificant in the eyes of many, but to Him, I'm precious and I have angels alongside with me and His love... Yay...

Summer job for 2010

God is good.
I am in process of hiring for my previous summer job as an RCA, but i randomly asked my ITS boss if i can get a job too for the summer.

RCA- Reardon Auditorium wants me to go for interview, a group one, then a solo one, and compete against like 20 applicants.

ITS- Tells me straight up, " ok, nobody has asked for it yet, so u can 40 hours straight up, and if u wanna take summer class, we can work yr hours around it." HOW WONDERFUL!

I have been weighing all pros and cons of both jobs. The abundance of God, giving a a choice. But i have decided to go the easier route with ITS, because working as a IT receptionist is so much less stressed and tense than RCA where we work as patrol, security, hotel receptionist, delivery man, chamber maid, cleaner at times, room officer, discipline mistress, golf cart driver, administrator, all rolled into one role called a camp coordinator.

As a bride to be, i reckon ITS would be more suitable. And i'm glad my groom approves of it too, when i tell him that i can work on th wedding things since i have fixed hours and off days unlike RCA.

PHEW, got me anxious for awhile thinking about this, but at least i do not need to compete with anyone. Now looking for cheap summer places to rent, cos ITS do not provide free lodging but RCA does.

Testimony I forgot to mention for Year 2009.

Happy new year world...

I thought I've told many people through email and word of mouth, but apparently, I didn't write it down here. So I would like to mention that the greatest thing that happened to me for the year 2009 is that:

Mr Anonymous sponsored me in school for a whole year!
All my tuition fees AND my rent AND my food.

All graciously and generously sponsored.
The year is up and i am very well fed(fat).

God is GOOD... All the time!

WOW... It's January in the Year 2010 ALREADY.

So i was randomly going through my blog again, at 1.25 am, after a long day because one of my good friends in AU reminded me. He asked have I updated my blog recently? Suffice to say, i haven't since i think my last blog was a year ago. Apologies to all my avid readers who have probably died down. ( I like to think i have avid readers because I love to write). But good reminder, for I really need to update my life and God's goodness in my world...

For instance, this evening has been wonderful. I went out with JM (my newly engaged ex boyfriend aka fiance), Pris, Tara, Phil, Yagya, Jonah, and Eva. We went for dinner at Mongolian restaurant. Then we had a 3D+IMAX movie(AVATAR) which was splendid. What a fantastic treat for a student.

Then I was scrolling down my blog and reading all my past quirky posts and I stumbled upon one that says, " SECRET DESIRES" as copied below... And as I read, I was just amazed at how God has worked in my little wishes even if they seem slightly insignificant to others at times.

I have highlighted those that God have accomplished. By His Grace, we are fulfilled and satisfied. He is indeed the River of Life, the LIVING God.

MY PREVIOUS POST:
I want to.....
  1. Have a lifetime supply of Hershey's dark chocolate with rice krispies, without a cost.
  2. Straighten my hair permanently, though it is kinda straight now.
  3. Be a better girlfriend, i think i neglect my precious too much.
  4. Have my own stylo guitar that can be plug in or without.
  5. Have only awesome professors like Dr. Swindell and Erin Davis in my entire college life.
  6. Live without a meal plan on campus because the food sucks BIG TIME, and it's SO expensive. ( I need eat 1/4 of what i pay or less, yet i still need to pay that freaking amount of crap)
  7. Dye my hair in patches of outrageous COLOURS.
  8. Hope that dumb and confused professors wouldn't correct my British spellings like COLOURS , instead of colors. Or that "learned" is correct and "learnt" is not. And get the grade i deserve in English.
  9. NOT get bugged by irritating people in the dorms or on campus.
  10. Learn to stop hating my parents.
  11. Love...
  12. Have all the hope in the world to surround me again.
  13. Feel like a little girl though I'm way over that age.
  14. Trust people.
  15. Feel pretty and alive inside again.
  16. Learn Salsa and whatever girly dance. I even dreamt about this last night. Maybe i have a hidden talent that i do not know about, though i kinda have 2 left foot? hmmmm.
  17. Be a model though people think models are dumb. But it earns big bucks just to look good, who cares if people think you are dumb?
  18. Sponsor babies around the world, but currently no budget.
  19. Grow taller, then i wouldn't be this compact and fat.
  20. Have a collection of spectacles and cool boots...
  21. Record an awesome duet with Jay Chou Jie Lun. Or have a personal song written by him to be recorded.
  22. Be in a band. And this i praise God because i am now in one!
God knows my heart's desires...

Yours Sincerely,
A NEW GINNY

Making history in Anderson University

Classes are cancelled today due to snow! It is a BIG deal cos AU does NOT cancel school often- less than 5 times in a history of decades....

Yesterday i was going around proclaiming in faith to frenz+co-workers, etc :" I think school will be cancelled tomo." And all the responses i got was, " No way Ginny..." So i went around pouting inside.... Then i woke up today with my window half covered with INCHES of snow on my window sill. I was thinking," Maybe sch is cancelled?"

I rushed to check my emails, and i was disappointed. Only 2 hour delay in classes. So i slack and waited, hoping status will change to NO SCHOOL. And i got dressed as my 10am class approach fast. And i went to check emails again, still hoping~

And TA-DA~!!!!

This is a message from the Raven Alert System.

Classes and offices at Anderson University are closed all day due to snow. Please stay tuned to WQME 98.7 FM www.anderson.edu for further updates.

Rent

I have officially moved out of the dorms because i cannot afford it. And i was calculating my expenses, i should be able to pay my rent with the entire little salary i have bi-weekly.

And JM msg me yesterday: ( He's leaving to go home this weekend)

" Hey, I left a cheque for your rent for next month, and you know where to find my debit card if you need it."

I was SOOOooo touched~!

There i was trying to figure out how to utillise and squeeze every bit of my pay for rent and there he was already providing for me in everyway, though i can now afford to pay for lodging.

God's Grace in Abundance- Year 2009!

Today is a beautiful day... I'm in warm clothes in a cosy & pretty lil' house, while the world outside is covered with snow n filled with dazzling sun shine. Oh~ how i love being indoors in the winter.

I have been feeling depressed and sick these two weeks. Severe back ache that i couldn't bend to take things from the floor, heart wrenching sadness from the financial issues as I struggled to pay next semester school fees/dorms/meal plan, without any help from back home. I wept, I laughed and i went crazy. My heart has never been more downcast recently. And i even finally asked for help back home, which i know it is highly impossible. The ordeals of coming from a poor family...

Then JM took a loan for me, but he said that even with loan, it wasn't enough to cover much too. And we prayed harder. I cried. And i was weak spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.
I moaned. I was trodden and out. I groaned.
"God, are u listening?!"

Then my sister told me she has been praying for me for 2 weeks straight. And she is gathering closer friends and family to pray for me too. Oh how we persevered in prayer...

And God came.

I asked Tara & Phil, a couple who always open their house for internationals to stay over holidays, if i could stay with them in their spare bedroom and i would pay them rent. If they do permit, i have to pay only 1/3 of what i pay for the dorms to them! And i can choose to NOT get the compulsory meal plan for students staying in dormitories, that costs $1400 for disgusting and low standard food that's stale at times. This way, JM & I would have sufficient savings if we minus dorms+ meal plans, and we would be able to pay for my tuition fees alone, for this coming semester.

Tara is a lady of God who prays for me intensively since we knew each other from summer 2008 and we intercede and worship together often. As i asked her, i was silently weeping, and she said she would discuss it with her hubby, Phil, and let me know. How i prayed again, because this was the only way out , because JM & I really dun wish to bother our folks back home, whether they have the $ or not.

Then Tara told me they are in agreement to letting me stay! And she wanted to REDUCE the rent i offered her. I was astonished at her kindness and generousity even though they are not well off, they wanted to bless me. Such profound acts blow me off. But i did insist on what i wanted to give, because i know they will be blessed with it, more than i know.

Tara mentioned, as we wept together as we shared our troubles, that i gave though i need.
But i saw HER needs, and as i compare my financial issues with others often, I know i am blessed no matter how bad a shape i am in, because God has brought me to America. I cried worse, because i have not seen myself as that person that she honoured me to be, giving out of what i lack. That struck me so hard encouragingly. My tears refused to stop. I praise God that He has brought me this far, though i worried and disbelieved and didn't seek Him, but he still brought me through these trials. Oh how wonderful is He? The Maker of Heavens and Earth. I am in awe of You Lord. Use me MORE than what i expect or imagine. Blow my mind and heart away for You. I want to be more of a blessing than i can be. Oh how He loves me, MORE than what i ever expect and demand. He DIED for ME. Oh Lord, how much more can i offer back to You? My Saviour, my soul aches and longs for You. How i YEARN for the day that we will see each other face to face. I pray that i will be able to accomplish what Your purpose in my life and i will walk in Your ways forever and ever.

And may all who reads my blog be encouraged.
For God is good, even when we do not feel so, but He never fails.

Thank you to all who have been by with me through this and praying...

JM got a job- OFF campus!

Finally, after getting his long deserved permit, his job that he applied for yons ago is still open!

Best part, he only drives 10-20 minutes to & fro, compared to average Americans who drives at least 2-4 hours to work and back.

God is good to JM and me.
Cos December= winter break= no sch= no work= no $ from my side.

BUT JM got a off campus job, which offside my miserable salary though his pay is not alot, but at least its more than campus ones!

Woohoo....

I am strong, though i am weak.

I am down...

Frail emotionally.
Faint physically.
Feeble mentally.
Fragile spiritually.

I wish God will take me away. But i have been waiting. For days. For months. For years.

He didn't.

I doubt He will anytime soon.
And He kept me alive in the midst of all these turmoil.

I looked around today in warm boots and cosy suede jacket.
Surrounded me was wintry, bare trees, squirrels scrambling around for food before the gloomy winter creeps in... and I began to smell the breeze.

I began to breathe.

I realize I am alive, and all is well despite of my weaknesses and insecurities.

I am not strong, but He has kept me.
I am free.

Psalm 25

To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul.

Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.

The troubles of my heart are enlarged;
bring me out of my distresses.

Consider my affliction and my trouble,
and forgive all my sins.

Consider how many are my foes,
and with what violent hatred they hate me.

Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me!
Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.

May integrity and uprightness preserve me,
for I wait for you.

I know this 2 blogs do not seem to count as much blessings that i have been bestowed on, but i just need to let it out, after all i'm still mere human. And i discovered with a nasty aftertaste in my mouth, that dark chocolate taste like PUKE if it's stale(old), BUT cookies&cream, oreos, and sweet chocolate kinda last.

Yours Sincerely,
Tired and old Ginny...

Trust....

Will be broken.

Vulnerable if you allow so.

Pointless.

Everything Is Meaningless

2 “Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!”

3 What do people get for all their hard work under the sun?

4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth never changes.

5 The sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again.

6 The wind blows south, and then turns north. Around and around it goes, blowing in circles.

7 Rivers run into the sea, but the sea is never full. Then the water returns again to the rivers and flows out again to the sea.

8 Everything is wearisome beyond description.

No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied.

No matter how much we hear, we are not content.

The Teacher Speaks: The Futility of Wisdom

I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done under heaven. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race.

What is wrong cannot be made right.
What is missing cannot be recovered.

18 The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief.
To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.

Just a random thought- WOW

Pastor Pete always tell people to say WOW backwards.
And as you know, obviously it's WOW too.

So i was thinking tonight, what if other words are used the same way? what if we use them backwards too? Okay, let's try...

Let's starts with AW
( Like so sweet/cute or disappointed in some case)

(We get a gentle response)

Now let's do it backwards = WA
(Like what just happened?! or Say that again!!!)
(We get a shocked response)

VERDICT
NOT APPLICABLE TO ALL WORDS

i know that obviously, just testing for fun la~!

New american slang of the day!!!

I got a Charlie Horse

Means you got cramps, like side of neck, then kanna stuck.

Wahahaha... Americans crack me up.

J.M's OPT

FINALLY...
After almost 1/2 a year of waiting, after numerous chapel card's prayer requests, J.M got his OPT! A permit that allows him to work in America till they give him a permanent work permit.

Thank to GOD cos other schools take less than a month to do apply this permit for international students, but my school, average 1/2 year to do so. So now it's here, it's a miracle...................

Exegesis Paper

God is good.

I did my exegesis paper for yons. And the break down of points is:
  1. Introduction- Upon 15
  2. Part a-Upon 30
  3. Part b and conclusion- Upon 40
Total: 85 points

So i submitted the different part every week. My results:
  1. Introduction- 16/15 (Extra 1 point for gd work done)
  2. Part a (first time, whole class kinda screwed up)- 20/30 ( class was told to redo)
  3. Part a (second time) -27/30
  4. Part b & conclusion- 41/40 (Extra 1 point for gd work done)
Total: (including part a's 2nd chance)- 84/85. But he mentioned technically with extra credit, it will be upon 88 for total. But i'm still happy with my results if it's 84/88. Which is great because it meant i only missed less than 5 points.

But to my amazement, I GOT 87/88( 3 points for extra credit)
I don't know how, because it definitely does not add up.

God works wonders.
